In November 1992, for the first time in Russia, a dog of the Akita-Inu breed appeared, nicknamed Gases. The charming “girl” of this breed of Japanese origin was born in the south of France and was determined in one of the nurseries near Moscow. Her owner was called Olivier Flocas, he decided to work in Moscow and settle in Russia for a long time. Now there are much more dogs in the country.
A little about the history of the breed. Previously, all the breeds of dogs in Japan were slightly tall. Among them were dogs called Akita Mataga (a dog for hunting a bear). Between 1830 and 1870. dogs of this breed were actively bred as fighting. Fights, as a rule, were carried out before the fights of samurai to raise their fighting spirit.
Later, aki-Tamatagi crossed with dogs like mastiff, which belonged to a German engineer who worked on copper mines of Kosak. Then the blood of the fighting dogs of TOS, German marriages, Senbernars and Dogs was growing. You can judge the results by photography.
By the way, for feeding this dog, like dogs of other breeds, we advise you to view the rating of dog feed on the site. This project was created by volunteers, (professional experts and animal lovers) for their like -minded people who care about the health and well -being of their pets.
After the dog battles in Japan were prohibited in 1908, this breed was on the verge of disappearance. But thanks to the efforts of enthusiasts in 1931, she managed to give the status of a national treasure. After 1945, Japanese dog breeders tried to fix the appearance of the most characteristic of Japanese dogs in Akita-Inu. And today, representatives of this breed are well recognizable on all continents and are very popular as security and sled dogs. And in general, such a dog is a good companion and friend.
