Japandi (japan + scandi) is a combination of Scandinavian style with elements of Japanese home design. Japandi combines cold and ascetic Nordic aesthetics with warm, typically Japanese elements of furniture and decor made from bamboo and rattan.
This style is characterized by the much-loved minimalism (as in the Scandinavian style), but it is warmer and more comfortable.
The characteristic features of Japandi include natural textures, functionality, severity of forms, a minimum of decor, organization of space and low furniture.
As for the main colors of the style, the main Japandi palette contains the following color combinations:
- Nude with a dark red undertone;
- Dark and light brown with white;
- Dark and light gray with white.
The basic idea is to add dark shades to basic neutral colors. Light colors create a feeling of calm, and the additional dark contrast breaks up the space, preventing it from looking too plain and boring.
The focus on environmental friendliness is not slowing down. Therefore, we can safely say that Japandi will remain popular in the coming year. Any manifestations of eco-style in the interior will be considered signs of good taste.
